Arthur Stein CFP®

Certified Financial Planner®

As Owner and CEO at Arthur Stein Financial, I specialize in investment management and retirement planning, especially for federal employees and retirees. I have been working in the financial services industry for over 30 years.

Before launching my career in financial planning, I operated the foreign aid program for the Government of Botswana and served as the first full-time staff economist for the Ways and Means Committee of the US House of Representatives. I also taught at Murdoch University, in Australia, and ran my own business. These experiences have helped me develop a unique perspective on financial planning.

In January 1998, achieving the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation became a transformative moment in my career. It opened doors for me to offer my clients comprehensive financial planning services, empowering them to navigate their financial journeys with confidence. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 from Tulane University and my Master of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in 1972.

I am motivated by developing and maintaining close, trusting relationships with clients and their families. I am proud to help clients establish and achieve each of their financial goals, and I believe that the greatest value I can provide for my clients is conflict-free advice and service.

When I am not in the office creating financial blueprints, I lead an active lifestyle with my family. I enjoy spending time with my wife, children, and adorable granddaughters. I am also passionate about pickleball, photography, plays, and movies. Additionally, as an avid traveler, I am always ready for a new adventure.
